The fine line between failure and success

“Authenticity is something the world desperately needs more of”

It’s something everybody has a use for at some point in their lives. Seeming like an authentic person can open many doors for you and this goes a long way from personal things like finding the right friend group and enjoying yourself to having a successful career.

Authenticity Definition

Authenticity means being a person that is true, who stands up for the things that matter to them, a person that is open and whose personality is clear from the start.

Advantages of being authentic

Being authentic can lead to much more opportunities in life, without even having to hide others will recognise you for who you are, maybe even just by looking at you. Thus you attract the people that are right for you, because they saw you and consider you for someone that is safe to approach and get to know better.

How we can all get closer to an authentic lifestyle - finding your true self

The reason there’s a fine line between being authentic and not is because in order to becoming the someone you truly are and want to be you got to find that someone first.

The sad truth is that many people don’t know who they really are, maybe you don’t know either. It is a tough question… and for the time being it is okay to not be fully sure of who you are.

We’re all born with a certain path to follow but we have to go on the journey before knowing who we really are and supposed to be.

You don’t start watching a movie at the very end where the hero has already done the work and defeated the enemy.

just know that you shouldn’t suppress the best parts of you, your “core-self”; we often do that without even realising it, we take on all these different personas; I doubt your the same around all your family and friends.. You really need to let go of following the expectations others have of you thus pleasing them, you should just be yourself and let people judge you even if that’s uncomfortable. Faking things has gotten to common in this world. You’re unique. Some may not like that but you don’t have more to offer than yourself and if that’s not enough for someone they don’t deserve your time…

To help finding your true self, you can ask yourself 3 questions:

Who am I at my core?  (This might be the most difficult one)

How am I being perceived?

How would I like to be perceived?

In summary you need two things to find your true most authentic self:

-time / experience (the moments we create and experience can define who we are)

-searching

(search for who you are, long term goals are harder to achieve than accomplishing single tasks. Remind yourself that just because something takes time waiting is no solution. Everyday do something that moves you towards your big goal.)
